A program suggestion:

  • Day 1 : Information meeting, presentation of the program and a welcome drink. Discover the region evening.
  • Day 2 : Visit to the traditional village of Aussois. Discovery tour of the Sardières monolith, a 93m cargneule needle. Meeting with a park ranger of the Vanoise national park.
  • Day 3 : Lanslebourg Cooperative.
    Visit to Bonneval-sur-Arc, ranked among the most beautiful villages of France.
  • Day 4 : A day in Italy crossing over the pass of Mont-Cenis; visit a typical Suse market;
    eat at the restaurant « Alla albergo della posta ». Return via the Mont-Cenis pass with a visit to the Jardin Alpin. Games evening.
  • Day 5 : Visit to the Arche d'Oé heritage centre.
    Visit the Esseillon forts.
  • Day 6 : Visit the Opinel Museum. Packed lunch.
    Excursion to see the Orgère marmots, followed by a visit to the Leaning House. An evening of storytelling and legends of the Maurienne.
  • Day 7 : Departure after breakfast.

Hiking in the valley of Gold

  • Day 1 : Information meeting, presentation of the program and a welcome drink. Discover the region evening.
  • Day 2 : Hiking in the heart of the National Park. The dams, mountain refuge at the bottom of Aussois, the Plateau du Mauvais Berger (the Bad Shepherd’s Shelf), and hydro-electricity (5 h - 500m climb).
  • Day 3 : The Vallon de l’Orgère
    (5 h - 300m climb).
  • Day 4 : Tour of Grand Chatelard
    (6 h - 750m climb)
  • Day 5 : The monolith and the barricade of the forts of Esseillon.
  • Day 6 : The 7 lakes (5 h - 400m climb). View across the glaciers of the Vanoise.
  • Day 7 : Departure after breakfast.
